Senior Pastor Rev. Richard W. Cowles, Jr.

Rev. Cowles was ordained to the ministry in his home church in Springfield, MA in 1973.
As a local church pastor Rick displayed his passion for promoting local missions. He became
involved in building two Habitat for Humanity homes.

As a Regional Conference Minister staffing the five associations and ninety churches of the
Upstate NY Region of the Conference Ministry, Rick worked in resourcing local churches in
the UCC Search and Call process, providing resources for local churches and authorized
ministers.

Rick is married to Susan who has worked as an executive director of a private nursery
school. They have two children, Peter and Sarah.
